VENDOR INFORMATION
Thank you for expressing interest in being a vendor. We are very excited about RAGBRAI® coming to our community on July 26, 2008. We are expecting between 15,000 to 20,000 RAGBRAI® participants coming into our town looking for LeClaire’s hospitality and uniqueness.
We want every nonprofit organization and business in LeClaire to benefit from this event and we want the money to stay here in our community of LeClaire.
LOCATIONS: The Main Entertainment and Beverage Garden will be located on the levee in downtown LeClaire- no vending will be allowed on the levee except for LeClaire RAGBRAI Committee. All other Food & Non-Food Vendors will be located in the downtown LeClaire area along Hwy 67. The food & non-food vending committees will provide a map of your location before July 21st.
PRICING: It will be up to each group to set their own prices. The RAGBRAI® officials recommend that a cheaper price be charged to RAGBRAI® participants with an official RAGBRAI® wristband for all items for sale. All registered RAGBRAI® participants will have a wristband showing they are officially registered to ride RAGBRAI®. Please list your prices on the application.
INSURANCE: All vendors will be required to show proof of liability insurance of $1,000,000. See application for more information.
HOURS: RAGBRAI® participants will start riding to LeClaire starting at 6:00a.m. Many of the riders families and friends will arrive early- please keep them in mind in your preparations. Most of the RAGBRAI® participants will arrive from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. All vendors are to be set up between 6:00a.m.-8:00a.m. to be ready to take care of the early participants. You should plan on being the busiest between 10:00a.m. - 2:00p.m. You are to stay open for business till 4:00 p.m.
ELECTRICITY: Please list on the application if you will need electricity. We will schedule to have electricity run to your stand. There will be an additional $25 fee for electricity.
CLEAN UP: We ask that all vendors clean up their areas before they leave. Large dumpsters will be located in close proximity of the vending area. The clean up will go very smoothly if everyone pitches in and helps. The committee recommends each vendor schedule a clean up crew to help clean up their area. All vendors will be required to be cleaned up by 5:00p.m. July 26th.
SIGNAGE: The LeClaire Vendor Committee will issue you an official RAGBRAI® Licensed Vendor Sign that MUST BE DISPLAYED on July 26, 2008. The vendors are responsible for their own signs at their booth. The committee recommends printing neat, easy to read signs including items and prices.
